Hello, I'm hoping someone can advise me as to the best way to find a childminder who will pick up from a particular school - do the council have this sort of information? I've done some googling but can't seem to find what I'm looking for. Thanks for any suggestions

If your local council (or Family Information Service) still holds a comprehensive list of childminders and their vacancies, they may well be able to give you information on school pick ups.

Call or e-mail your local authority Family Information Service telling them the school from which you need your children collected. They then with luck will be able to send you a list of childcare in the area. You will probably still need to check with each childcare provider that they are able to collect from that particular school.

List of Family Information Services - though easier to go to your local council website and search there.
You can also try calling 0800 2346 346 which should with luck put you in touch with your local FIS.
