Can anyone recommend an au pair agency?

I am in Tooting, London, with 3 small girls and a travelling husband. We are thinking about an au pair, but there are so many agencies on the internet we're not sure which to go for.
All advice much appreciated!

I would check out greataupair.com and aupair worls something or other.

We can be more helpful if you gives ua an idea of ages of children, dutuies for au pair, hours for aupair, etc.

Having had several au pairs I always used an agency instead of a website now. The agency I use is Just Au pairs who do place alot of Au pairs in London. They are not the cheapest, but they are very thorough the girls are all the equivalent of CRB checked, health checked and references checked out. They will not place Au Pairs to have sole charge of under 2s.

We use aupair-world.net website rather than an agency.. But then I'm happier doing my own checks on potential au pairs than trusting an agency.

Same as Mill - would want to interview and take up references myself; fees seem very high for what they do; and too many agenices giving out duff advice on tax and immigration.

I used the aupair-world.net after all the great advice i got on here.
My first au pair arrives in one week - we are all really excited.
