Not only due to the awful matters in the news recently, but triggerd by something thats happend involving my own DD at school..where can i get child friendly resources to teach dd and the LO's about our bodies, what is and isnt appropriate, what to do if theyre worried and so on?
When i was at school we had a bbc programme with a theme song "my bodies nobodys body but mine, you rule you own body let me rule mine"...i want something easilly rememberd similar to than along with things we can work on..possibly using print outs of body parts, bodies, using big, small, young, old and so on, but how can i get round to the point??

What ages are you planning to do this with?? and presumably you will be getting parental permission.
I've got to be honest, I think the idea is a bit odd to be doing as an activity in a childminders home.

I have some very simple books which I got from Amazon, but they are really more about stranger danger. And they are aimed at 5 to 7 year olds. Can't think of anything I've ever seen about inappropriate touch. Also I agree that parents should be consulted on this

thanks onaday..ill look into that.
Dan, ive sopken to all the parents informaly about this subject and they are all more than happy for us to do a little theme onit...it will be age 6,6,7 & 8...im not going to be going in depth, just helping them be aware of was is and isnt appropriate, ive found lots already on nspcc and chldline wensites as well as things that the schools use to help them understand.
im thinking of doing individual parts..focus on the head/face..what do we do with our eyes....our nose...why do we have eyebrows...our mouth..what do we use it for..eating, rtalking, kissing....who do we kiss...mummy..daddy...grandma..and so on, explaining we never have to give kisses cuddles etc if we dont feel comfortable and we kiss mummy and daddy to say we love them etc etc
