Quick advice needed from CM's - RE Sickness

Just had a call from school to say that a 9 y/o I am due to pick up at 3.15 has been violently sick at school. Mum is a teacher, 30 mins away (so currently uncontactable).

I said that I didn't really feel comfortable picking her up early, as I have 2 l/o's here and if she has a bug, they could catch it.

Did I do the right thing? Im gonna have to pick her up at 3.15 if the mum cant leave work early, but I have 5 other to pick up too [worried]

Hi if the child is sick then the parent should pick them up. It is not fair on the ones you are minding if you have a child who is sick with you. Also do not forget this, you put yourself at risk if the child has been sick.

You should not have to pick up the child at all if vommiting is involved.

Do not feel guilty and this I believe is in your contract.
