We met with a girl on Mon and got on very well with her, she's coming again on Fri for a visit with the kids.

She has stated she wants to register and we can therefore use the childcare vouchers to pay her and she would essentially be self employed - she would come to the house and help with the housework/kids as normal

can anyone tell me if they know of this being done before or if all other MH's are normally employed by the parents?

I don't think she can be self employed. Therefore you will be her employer and responsible for her tax and ni and also your employers ni. She will also be entitled to paid holidays and will have other rights that normal employees have.

Have a read of this , it will explain it more.
