Am wondering wether to advertise for NYE babysitting, i know i've left it late!

would anyone hire a babysitter on NYE or would it be to expensive (i would charge £15 until 1am then 17 after)

Is it worth me not making plans for NYE on the off chance someone would want me to babysit or will there def be interest?

Im in N.london btw

Summerfruit · 18/12/2009 17:08

Nope thank you dear, you are too expensive for me ! But I'm sure you'll find someone !!!

i have been asked, and i quoted £20ph and family said fine - but as i dont bs on nye i gave to a friend of mine

milk - put up an ad on netmums and also ring agencies

what do sitters charge -are they double on nye - so £10/12ph?

MilkNoBrandyForSanta · 18/12/2009 18:14

Am a nanny with 6 years experiance level 2 childcare first aid and crb check

the babysitters round here (one of whom i know isnt qualified and hasnt looked after kids a day in her life!) are charginng £20 ph! until midnight then 23 after!

i would charge 12ph if i could def get work iygwim

babysitting wis i get anything from £6ph o 10.50ph depending on who i babysit so i dont really have a price to double iygwim

Oh i dont know!

Flipping eck I was offered £35 per hour to sit for 6 hours on nye but turned it down as it was over an hours drive away, I think £15 is very reasonable considering.

BlameItOnTheBogey · 19/12/2009 16:06

15 an hour is hugely reasonable for London and I'd happily pay it (but will hopefully be holding my newborn by then so no chance of a wild night out for me). Good luck.
