Why can't I just feel proud and happy? I keep thinking maybe if I'd said this or done I'd have got more outstandings. I'm not good at pressure and being put on the spot that's why I wrote a 9,000 word SEF and made sure there were lots of visual things for her to look at. I feel drained, have a huge headache, I thought i'd feel releived and happy.

One of the things she pointed out was that the way I was doing my eyfs was better when I first started it than what it is now but the reason I changed it was because a parent wasn't happy with how it was, I said it's hard to please everyone I wasn't sure I had been doing it right, the next inspector might think the way I do it now is better anyway. I have to consider what the rules are, what the parent wants and the time I have to complete paperwork. Now I need to have a whole new re-think.

Well done you.

Think logically about your EYFS stuff and how and why you do it. If you still think you are right, stick to what you are doing and the next inspector will probably agree with you.

RosieGirl · 07/12/2009 20:00

fantastic result - congratulations

dmo · 07/12/2009 22:12

super news
ofsted are coming to me tomorrow [panic] not bothered bout my result really would be happy with a sat as no parent has ever asked for my inspection report and i have a waiting list so i am happy
word of mouth is the best if the parents like you then your sorted

LoveMyGirls · 08/12/2009 07:15

The inspector did say some really nice things too like how passionate I am, dedicated, inspiring but I think until the report comes it won't really sink in properly. I think last time I was inspected I hadn't been childminding very long so didn't feel the pressure so much and I didn't know what to expect, this time I've been worrying for the past 8 weeks knowing I would get a phonecall any day, I think now it's over I just want to have a good rest and sleep
