Babysitters for Christmas

How do I go about finding a babysitter? Usually we go with Sitters but they seem to be booked up - they've been 'trying Sharon' for a few days now - and I'm scared that they're going to call and tell me that they can't find anyone leaving me with only days to find someone else..
Are there other trustworthy agencies that do this kind of work? What about nanny agencies?

Won't anyone help?

most nanny agencies have nannies who babysit and least the agency would have met them - unlike sitters!!

some charge a one off fee and will find you a babysitter and others charge per time you use them

also have a look on nannyjob and netmums as many nannies including myself advertise there

Oh, I like sitters - we always have fab baby sitters from there. The lady we had last weekend said she was now totally booked up between now and Christmas, so sounds like she's probably typical.

Have a look on local notice boards, gumtree and as Blondes suggested, netmums.
