Ditto!

Am having 5 minutes at the mo.

I've put all my certificates, mot, insurance, policies, crb's, ref's and the kicthen sink in a folder.

I've been writing my SEf so far I've done over 8,000 words and I've got 5 sections left.

I'm updating the children folders.

On saturday I'm going to wash and clean out the car and sort through all the toys making sure all the bits are together and clean them. (that makes it sound like they're a right mess, they're not I just want everything exactly perfect)

Sunday I will clean the house from top to bottom and double check I've got everything I need in place and to hand.

I had my inspection 3 weeks and the paperworks they were keener to see was my risk assessements and the risk assessement check log. They asked me a lot about how I ensure Safeguarding...will see if I think about anything else !

Jeremy Vine was dicussing small schools having large fences put around because although it isn't "law" schools are being "failed" on the safeguarding aspect and they are doing everything in their power however un-necesary to ensure they get a good grade in this area, so it does seem to be a major part in inspections for everyone at the moment.

Good luck to everyone having an inspection soon.

Risk assessments, obs and asssessments, working in partnership with parents - get references off them - and planning for the 'next steps' in the individual child's learning and development are the biggies here in the NE at the moment. Also, how you work with other eyfs providers - nurseries, pre-school and playgroup. Oh, makesure you have all current tel no's for your LA Safeguarding dept. Also, I was asked what the temps should be in the fridge/freezer - told her to go look on the cupboard next to it - had downloaded a poster from somewhere or other.

Good luck
