Aussie/ Kiwi Au Pairs- Looking for Feedback ?

Hi,

So we have almost 100% decided to go ahead and get an au pair. My Dh is Australian and we used to have a Kiwi nanny ( sole charge for DD1 when I went back to work) who was fantastic. Having heard lots of good and bad stories re au pairs it appears that many of the main problems appear to be language difficulties and cultural differences. Therefore I was thinking that going down the route of an Aussie or Kiwi au pair may help us avoid this. If anyone could share their stories, hints or tips with me that would be fantastic.

We do not live in the UK so while there are lots of au pairs around they would main be European.

Thanks,

A x

Look on au pair world. Our incoming AP (two weeks to go) is Aussie and we found her through APW. THere are loads on there looking for starts in the new year as the Southern hemisphere university year ends.

Our AP+ is Australian and fab. We also found her via AP World so it's definately worth a look there.
