employing nannies - implications for tax, payroll etc?

hi

i have just posted another thread but i have lots of options in the air at the moment re: childcare when i go back to work!

thinking about employing two nannies. are there any extra implications for tax, ni etc that i should be aware of when employing two people?

Other than you have to set them up separately with the HMRC no. However it's worth noting that if they are each having a low number of hours you may benefit from the small payments scheme where the tax office do all the paperwork for you. Best thing is to ask them when you know what you are going to have.

We are going through the same thing and it's a real headache isn't it?
