Right. As it stands at the moment, Jess goes to a private nursery one day a week to give me time to myself to do stuff in the house, meet friends for lunch etc etc etc.

I currently travel 25 miles to drop her at this nursery and pay £38 per day and then travel 25 miles back.

After looking about on the web, I can get a childminder 10 minutes up the road for 10 hours a week - i have split that into 3 mornings rather than 1 whole day, for £30 a week.

Less petrol costs and £8 cheaper than a day at Nursery.

WHAT DO I DO?!

Im worried because SIL is manager at nursery, and wonder if she will comment on me pulling her out?!

Oh JM thats terrible all children need fresh air whatever the weather, I'm a childminder and my mindees get fresh air what ever the weather.

When you see childminders go with your gut instinct, you will know who will be right for you and your family

My two older daughters went to nurseries when they were small babies and I really wish that I'd got them in with a good c/m like my 3rd daughter as I feel that her care was much better because she got oone to one care and seemed much happier.

i walked into nursery to pick her up yesterday at 4pm and she was sat in a highchair WATCHING other kids eat while she had nothnig.... even though she had yoghurts etc which i sent in with her. They knew i was picking her up early so probably decided not to bother giving her "tea" but surely they should have let her play rather than stick her in a highchair?!

Would have thought so unless they thought she would disturb the other children.
