Harvest Festival?

Anyone doing anything for this? We are going for a nature walk and collecting decorations for it (acorns, conkers, leaves, blackberries etcetc) but a bit stuck on what one does during a Harvest Festival? We can do some singing and colouring in but what are things to eat? I suppose we could cook a squash..

Any ideas?

have you got a nearby church that might have a harveast festival display?

Make some bread? Its all about the harvest, so wheat particularly appropriate.

Yes, Bread making! And visiting a church is a great idea - our local one does Michaelmass (sp) later in the autumn but they might have something on display
