In the attendance book, do you write the ACTUAL times they were there or the hours you were paid for?

ie mindee was 30 min late, do I write the time she arrived or the hours I was paid for?

Another question - is it ever okay to go over your numbers? I KNOW it is not

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

oops clicked send to early!

I know that it's not allowed, however what if a parent needed emergency cover (eg for hospital emergencies?) would that be any different?

You should always put in the times that the children arrive & leave not the contracted time. This is because of child protection issues & also so that you have proof of attendance if the child should incur an injury which is later investigated IYKWIM. You can go over your numbers in a genuine emergency & it is advisable to let Ofsted know so that if any complaints are made they are aware of the reason why.
