I am posting for a friend who is about to get a n au pair for the first time, she wants to be fair and good, so should she pay for the flight?

Thanks

The au pair should pay. There was a thread on this recently - will link if I can find it.

Do you pay Aupairs Return airfare

The general consensus was the AP gets themselves to and from the UK but should be reimbursed for travel costs to the host family/met at the airport and ideally offered a lift back to the airport.

Thank you all very much

I would not reimburse straight away, in case the au pair left after a week or two (many will just get any chance to get (back) to the uk for free)

I would reimburse as a bonus, later on.
