Hi CM,

just want to ask if you have fixed price for breakfast, lunch and dinner or do you calculate the price every time you do food shopping?

I am new to the bussines and I am little bit confused.

Also do you have to keep all your food bills even when total is under £10?

Thank you,

I think some people have fixed rates for meals. I include everything - food, drinks, snacks, nappies, etc - in my hourly rate (which is slightly higher than others in the area).

I am not a cm but my cm charges £1.50 for a lunch (sandwich type meal) and £2 for a cooked tea, Snacks (fruits, yogurt, cheese, milk etc) are included in the daily rate. hth. She is very generous with snacks imo, offers a wide range of fruits etc.

i charge 3 pound a day for meals so a pound per meal including snacks and juice and if we eat out this is on top off my fees ..

I don't charge extra for food and if we eat out, I cover the cost too. I'm happy doing it this way.
I think along the lines of If I choose to take them out, then I pay.

I don't charge for meal, I have no children at home so fill all six places.

by not charging food I put it all against expenses ( I would be paying tax if not)

against tax I charge:

£1.50 Breakfast

£0.75 snack

£3.00 per cooked meal - lunch/tea

i came to this by doing and pricing a three week revolving menu.

I do cook everything from scratch tho, and serve a meat two veg and pudding sort of meal.

breakfast is usually eggs, beans, on toast sort of thing with fresh juice and yogurt.

snacks are fruit, rice cakes sort of thing.

Except for Fridays when snack is cake, pancakes popcorn sort of thing.
