hi all

i could really do with some childcare maybe one evening once a fortnight on a weekend for DD2 who is 2, to allow me to focus/take out DD1 who is 12. We have had a really tough time of it lately, and where as previously they were at their dads, all contact has now stopped, and i know DD1 is really feeling it. I would love to treat her, but its hard with a little one towing along!

I have looked at the babysitting club online (cant for the life of me remember what it is called!!) atnd they dont cover my area! I am not from here, and dont have any family/friends to ask. Not sure where to look to be honest - any tips?

I used to babysit in Hartlepool via Sitters. Do they not cover you anymore?

Try Need-A-Nanny, advertise on N*tmums. Try the local colleges, the NCT groups sometimes do a babysit swap.

I'd do it for you but I'm on maternity leave at the moment, until August.

thanks for the tips, and thanks for thinking of us - hope your new little one is a bundle of fun!

Oh, she's a little sweetheart.

Good luck with finding someone, and if I think of anywhere else you could find someone I'll post again.

Also have a look at the babysitters thread I started on here to see if anyone is local to you.

depends whether you want an experienced childminder/nanny etc or an au-pair who does extra babysitting work or a local teenager whose own parents are close by.
