Hello, I'm a 26 year old British nanny currently working in a nannyshare role in Wandsworth which is unfortunately due to end soon as I'm being made redundant. I have a BTEC National Diploma in Childcare and have spent the past 6.5 years working as a sole-charge nanny for children aged 4 months and upwards. I'm Ofsted registered, have a current CRB check in addition to First Aid and Food Handling qualifications. I'm a non-smoker, love pets and can provide excellent references! I'm looking for employment in any of the following areas: Wandsworth, Earlsfield, Balham, Tooting, Clapham, Wimbledon, Colliers Wood, Streatham and Croydon.

Please feel free to get in touch with any questions.

Hi there

We're looking for some interim cover in Putney starting from the 27th (i.e. 5 minutes from Wandsworth on the bus).

Do give me a ring on 07912 241 eight one four (mobile number obscured to stop it being harvested by spammers) and we can discuss.

Kind regards
DMT

I'm not sure who heavensent is but our absolute nightmare of a nanny had all the EXACT same qualities. Heavensent I'm not saying you are definitely her, but it's spooky. Can anyone link my thread about our crazy nanny?

NannyNightmare · 15/04/2009 19:12

If anyone would like to e-mail me at [email protected] to make sure this is a different person, please do so. I dread the thought of someone hiring her again.

Again, heavensent sorry if it isn't you.

Simplyme · 15/04/2009 20:35

Hope this is the post you meant NannyNightmare

Try looking at this link

Simplyme · 15/04/2009 20:39

Have to say I am leaving my current job which is in Wandsworth at the end of the month. I have helped my employers find a replacement already but if Heavensent is your nanny then I would be horrified at the thought of her looking after 'my babies'

I always like to help interview my replacements as I usually get very attached to my charges and I don't want just anybody looking after them lol

Poor you heavensent if you aren't that awful nanny and good luck in your search.

BTW NannyNightmare what happened to you in the end? Have you managed to find a nice new nanny now?

NannyNightmare · 15/04/2009 20:45

Yes Simply that's exactly the thread I meant. Thanks for finding it and linking it (I'm rubbish at all of it ).

My mum came and looked after the girls for a few weeks and we now have a nannyshare with another friend's school-ager, they've had their nanny for 6 years since their DS was 2. He is in the same class as ours and we've known them for ages, it's working out very well as they were afraid they might lose her since she needed more full-time work.

So she has my 2 littlies in the day and picks up the boys after school (I drop boys off at school so she can stay at home with the girls in the mornings and she only has to do 1 school run a day). We are paying the majority but still those pennies help! Thanks for asking

Simplyme · 15/04/2009 20:50

Oh thats fab news!! I'm so pleased for you. I hope the children are really happy now and forgettingthe past and thgis way the good nanny keeps her job.
There are some great nannies around who dearly love their charges and would do anything for them and unfortunately there are a few not so great ones.

Nannying imo is one of the hardest jobs around so if you don't love what you're doing and love the children then it must be very hard. I actually don't know why you would choose this job if you don't love it...much easier ones around imo.

heavensent · 15/04/2009 21:22

I'd like to say I'm definitely not the crazy nanny you are referring to, rest assured! Must be a coincidence that we have the same qualifications! And if anyone needs evidence, I can provide plenty of references!

OP posts:
willowthewispa · 15/04/2009 21:30

To be honest, there must be lots of 26 year old Ofsted registered nannies with BTECs!

heavensent · 15/04/2009 21:36

Thank you...that's what I was thinking! I don't want anyone thinking I'm a psycho!

OP posts:
heavensent · 15/04/2009 21:48

DMT - Thank you....could you let me know what hours and days you require someone and roughly what period of time? Many thanks.

NannyNightmare · 16/04/2009 04:08

Actually, I don't imagine there are lots of 26-year-old British nannies Ofsted registered with a BTEC in Southwest London...I know of maybe 2. And we know a lot of nannies. But I hope you're not her heavensent!! Probably not - but still, anyone wanting to be on the safe side can contact me!!

And our past nanny had lots of refs too...

Sorry Heavensent, it's just I'm a paranoid mummy now and I want to make sure all parents have the facts - hope you can understand and I'm sure you're a fab nanny.

Nancy66 · 16/04/2009 11:40

Nannynightmare - what a ridiculous thing to write. Are you going to hijack every post in the SW london area on the incredibly unlikely off chance that it's the same girl?

Heavensent is looking for work - don't jeapordise her chances because of your bad experience and judgement.

heavensent · 16/04/2009 14:07

I am most definitely not her, my name is Joy and I've been in one nannyshare since moving to London last January. Not to be rude, but all this "bad press" is not helping me in the chances of finding a work as Nancy66 above mentioned!

I am a professional nanny and I'm very sorry to hear you had a bad experience with your other nanny who just happens to be the same age, working in the same area and with the same qualification as myself.

LaQuitar · 16/04/2009 15:04

There ara not many 26 yrs old nannies with BTEC in SW london ???

Leave the girl alone. She is just trying to find job.

Actually i am surprised with her calm. I would be furious if i was in her position.
I can understand you feel upset about your experience but you cant go around accusing people with no evidence It is very serious accusation for a child worker

willowthewispa · 16/04/2009 18:45

How ridiculous! How many nannies work in SW London? Hundreds I would imagine, mostly in their 20s, lots with BTECs.

Snowjive · 22/04/2009 12:05

Nannynightmare, I've emailed you at your live.co.uk address. I'd really appreciate it if you have a moment to reply.

callaird · 24/04/2009 14:51

Um??.........So if you employed a nanny and she turned out to be awful and mistreated you little treasures would you not want to let everyone know of the dangers of employing her. Would you not be furious with any former emplyers who knew she mistreated their children but they didn't imform you??

I am a nanny and if I were heavensent and not nightmare nanny's nanny, it would not phase me at all. All nightmare nanny is saying is get the full name and any other relevant details from her if you are thinking about hiring a 26 year old nanny in West London, she is not saying heavensent is her ex-nanny, I really don't understand why everyone is giving her a hard time when she is just trying to protect innocent children.

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/04/2009 16:26

completley agree callaird - i remember nightmarenannys thread very cleary and i am very pleased that the outcome is now she has a lovely nanny and nanyshare and her 3 children are well looked after.

Heasvensent - i am sure you arent THAT nanny - and if anyone has doubts all they have to do is contact nightmarenanny for more info about her horrible nanny child abuser!!

London is a big place and there prob are lots of 26yr betecs about, just as I know a few NNEB's in their 30'sin my area.

NannyNightmare · 24/04/2009 16:33

Thanks Blondes and caillard - Willow, La, and Nancy I don't know if you are all parents but if you're not - you just can not imagine what experiencing something like I have has done to me - paranoid does not even begin to describe it.

My children were subjected to awful treatment, most likely not even just on that one occasion I caught her. It has made me run an entire gamut of emotions that you can not even start to understand.

I feel I would be completely neglecting not only my children and their safety but ANY parent's children if I were not to make sure that the nannies did not coincide.

If you go back through my previous posts, I reiterated twice that I didn't think heaven was the same nanny, all I'm doing is making sure prospective parents don't make the mistake that we did. If she's not the same person, I don't sse how it hurts her chances?

callaird · 24/04/2009 17:15

I would just like to apoplogise, it's Nannynightmare not Nightmarenanny. Sorry!

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/04/2009 17:19

oops - me too

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/04/2009 17:19

heaven if i were you i would start a new thread wth your details etc
