I am working as an AP for a family with 4 children. I was away for 3 weeks on holiday ( visting my family back home ) to come back to find 3 weeks of washing and ironing? I dont know if this is normal or my MB just being lazy? Thoughts????

OP posts:

Now its down to decorating, fitting a new kitchen and retiling the shower room. Got to be just so for new nanny.....

it would be a pleasure to meet MP (after all the emails we have exchanged)and of course see her fabby nanny again

As a bloke and therfore lazy and totally unaware of what a washing machine is (see elsewhere on Mumsnet ad nauseum) even I am shocked at that attitude.

When AP is away I stay on top of washing a so that when AP returns there is a normal level of dirty laundry (say half a basket but no complete loads). And diswasher is emptied by whoever is around, normally AP on weekdays as I don't even go into the kitchen in my mad dash to not miss the train. But on days I am there it is whoever is first into the kitchen.
