I am with NCMA at present. I have been looking at Morton Michel but wanted to find out if anyone is with them. Are you satisified?

Ncma is very good, i just wanted to find out what Morton Michel is like.

Look forward to hearing from you all!!

when i was a childminder i was with MM for my insurance! They were very good and i did claim once whilst with them and had brilliant fast efficient service! Never saw the benefits of NCMA TBH especially as thye charge so much more!

yes i am insured with MM and have been for a few years now, but never had to make a claim so not really sure how good it would be if i had to claim.
was a member of NCMA for years and never had to make a claim either.
I think it saves you about half the money because you need to pay membership fees with NCMA and I never really found any benefits from using them, other than being able to buy accounts book etc but MM also sell all that stuff.
I stopped using NCMA when i went for a long period of having no children but was told by ofsted that i still needed insurance even though i wasnt working and i didnt really have the money to pay for both membership and insurance when i wasnt earning anything.
So i made the switch to MM and have not seen any reason to change back.

I use MM

Its much cheaper than ncma

The main benefit for me is the binder system you get. You that you can photocopy all of the sheets that go in the binder...so you don't need to buy them (apart from the contracts and record sheets which self duplicate) I also have my visitors book, fire logs etc all in the same binder...its just less stuff lying about.

Also with NCMA you MUST use their contracts to be covered by their insurance...where as with MM you can use your own contracts if you like.

Never had to make a claims so can't help there.

Thanks for your replies, much appreciated!!

What would happen with the NCMA copntracts with parents if I changed to Morton Michel? Would I have to change to the new contract or make my own up to give to the Parents?

nothing you can continue to use any contract you wish, MM dont penalise you like ncma do!!!!!!!!!!
