T3 Triple Jogger. Does anyone have one?

Does anyone have one of these?

I'm a Childminder and have been given a Capital Grant. I am allowed to spend £500 of it on a triple buggy

Are these any good? Looks quite bulky.

I have my own newborn baby plus I'll have a toddler and a 1 yr old.

Whaddya think??????

I actually already have a double (P&T) and quite frankly the toddler could walk but hey, it's something for nothing! I'm just worried about storing it. I have a shed I keep my buggies in. but it already stores my P&T and single buggy

SillyMillysMummy · 02/04/2009 20:03

they're the business

I met a childminder pushing 1 of those with 3 little (toddler-sized) people in it - she said she was really tired and looked exhausted... to push it she was leaning right over and shoving... although maybe anything with 3 LOs in would be heavy?

FruitynNutty · 03/04/2009 08:54

Thanks for your replies

sillymilly I think it would amount to more than £500 for the triple but I agree, it looks fab

leeloo I thought it looked rather heavy too.

I might go and ask in Products......

Hi, FruittynNutty I have a pedigree sport it has two extra detachable seats, so allows four children but I only use one seat, it,s brill, my Grandaughter likes to lay in the hood and has been known to fall asleep it acts like a hammock. I've C/minded for 20yrs and have used all kinds of buggies and this is the best. I live near a large park and near town so it's ideal for loading up with shopping and pic-nic things the only thing is it's heavy so you have to look out for the slopes in the path to cross the road. this might be of some help www.rdl.co.nz Im not very good on the pc so can't send a photo

FruitynNutty · 06/04/2009 07:40

Thanks misskizzy I've ordered the jogger now, let's hope it ok! I'm dreading being stopped by every passer by to ask about it though. I've had this with a strange looking double I had before and also the ride on bike attachment. Drives you mad!

My friend with 5 under 3s has a P&T double with two extra seats above the handle. It's quite neat as it's only 2 seats wide iyswim.

FruitynNutty · 10/04/2009 09:46

really? I have a P&T, where do I get the extra seats? Oh no, mines a single with the seat underneath, maybe not then

My friend's is a side by side, by I do think she got P&T to build it specially for her- there are too many families out there with 5 under 3s... At first it had two cradle type things above the handle, but they have been swapped for seats now.

duchesse · 10/04/2009 09:48

sorry - aren't too many families...

I had a T3 triple jogger until recently.

It was functional and fine. I could push it easily as long as the wheels were pumped up well. The raincover that covers the 3 seats is rubbish, I used the double raincover and then a child bike seat cover for the child in the front seat and didn't ever use the canopy for the front seat. Its easy to steer and I did on ocassion push it one handed.

They are poorly made for the cost of them (made in the same factory as the marco skys) and I had endless problems with poppers breaking and clips pinging off etc...

That said it got 3 under 2s about without breaking my back.

Its quite bulky to store...and def wouldn't fit in any car but a very very large one and you would break your back getting it in!!

It also attracts old ladies.....I couldn't get 2 steps outside my front door without people commenting on it. A real novelty at first a real pain in the whatsit after 2 weeks!!

As a triple it wasn't bad but I was really glad when I could part with it in favour of my P&T with a buggyboard!!!

FruitynNutty · 12/04/2009 20:33

Can you get a buggy board on a P&T?????? I have a P&T but haven't tried my lascal buggy board on it

OP posts:
FruitynNutty · 12/04/2009 20:35

Oh crap, are they really made at the same factory as Marco Sky's? I hate Marco Sky's. My CM friend had one and had so much trouble with it, like you say, things pinging off - usually an important bolt or something!

Yes, the buggy board maxi fits the p & T's. but I found I needed to put rubber gromments around the bar so that the fixing clips fitted better, then angled them down so I could still use the brake.
Also it is easier to push the pram when stood at the side.

FruitynNutty · 12/04/2009 20:41

It goes on even with the P&T seat added on? I can't wait to try it! Rubber grommets?

OP posts:
mumlove · 12/04/2009 20:52

In toddler mode is how I use it, then the child stands and holds onto the handle where you would normally thats why I push from the side.
Rubber grommets - I used thick rubber tubing put a slit down it so I could then place it over the metal bar near to the button that you press to release the wheel. That helped to make sure the clips were tight enough to hold the board up.

I have a 3 of my 2 1/2yr old mindees asking when is it their turn on the skate board

FruitynNutty · 12/04/2009 20:58

aw, just realised I'll have my newborn to ferry around, would it work when in baby mode?

OP posts:
mumlove · 12/04/2009 21:00

Yes it should do as the child on the board stands behind the pran handle.

The board does need the arm extenders on that you get when you buy the board.

FruitynNutty · 12/04/2009 23:23

Thanks mumlove, I'll have to see if I can locate the arm extenders, no idea where I put them
