I'm considering embarking upon one or all of these at some point, just wondered those of you who have experience if you could tell me a little bit about what they are like to do and if I could get any funding etc

TIA

I'm doing an Early Childhood studies degree by distance learning with ICS rather than OU at the moment. I'm intending to do the EYP after I'm finished the degree through my local uni.

I'm (hopefully) doing Early Years Practice level 4 in October which I believe is equivilent on NVQ3. I asked the training person for our area and was told that I'd PROBABLY get about 90% funding but I had to apply once accepted on the course.

meant to say this is via Open University

I am doing a foundation degree in professional practice in the early years, part time at college, fully funded by the local early years team. I already have a NVQ3. I hope to to a top up to a BA and then EYPS, all fully funded. It is costing me nothing.

Looney - your first 2 OU courses will get you an NVQ4 equivalent.

Lovemygirls - if you are thinking about OU, then you could do the same as Looney and skip the NVQ3 and start E123, E124 OU courses (over 1 or 2 years).

I'm sure someone else will have a better/different idea.

The E100 has taken over the E123 and E124 now. So does this give me an NVQ4 then - I must read more about this!

LMGs - If you do it in Oct like me, we can do it together as we chat on MSN every day anyway so can give each other the kicks up the *rse And it's after the wedding so....???
