Have been a cm since last summer and I don't think I have really bought myself any new clothes in that time. Don't earn much and clothes just haven't been a priority tbh. Yet lately I feel I look such a scruff bag everyday. All my jeans are worn and faded. Tops faded and the odd paint mark etc. Wear the same cat boots everyday. Hair hasn't been cut in all that time either. So have decided sod it I'm going to sort myself out but am wondering what to get that will make me feel good AND be practical for cm too? What do you wear?

Jeans, top's with hoody jacket or jumper and a pair of sketchers (soooo comfy) I know what you mean about lack of clothes I could do with more stuff, the thing I have found is there's little point buying really cheap stuff because it just wears so quickly best to buy a couple of good quality items and build it up but I struggle to buy anything more than £10 for me because then guilt kicks in! Hair cut is a definate must have though and getting my eyebrows waxed too!

Faded jeans, worn out tops. Looks like we all need better paid jobs

I did try a phase of wearing 'proper' trousers, but I found the paint, etc did not wash out as well. I do have some overalls for messy play (a bit like white nurse jackets).

Some clothing is tax deductable. For example tops embroidered with your logo.

i wear primark strechy tops, whih are really comfy and when they get ruiened with paint or sick i dont mind, because it ony costs £2.50 to replace them. jeans and comfy trainers. if its cold i'll wear a hoody jacket or hoody jumper.
i know what you mean about feeling like a scruff bag, somedays i'm too lazy i dont have time to put makeup on or do my hair properly and i feel really scruffy all day.

jeans and t-shirts. i'm really sad and order free t'shirts off vistaprint - doesnt matter if they get covered in paint, sick, goo etc

Try ebay! Lots of great value t-shirts etc!

jeans and tops that make dd say "you're not really going to wear that are you" and "don't get out of the car mum". She's agreed to come with me to shop FOR ME over easter. But I suspect she'll find more things in her size 8 than my 16 lol
