Temporary holiday childcare in Spain?

Can anyone let me know if this is the wrong board?

Does anyone know how I can get some help while we go on holiday in a few weeks self catreing (we are staying in San Pedro near Marbella?). We would just like an extra pair of hands as we have 2 small toddlers and need to entertain them and would also like at least one of us to have a few hours rest at some point. Not sure we want to take a "nanny" with us via an agency but some help would be good either from here or locally. Obviously it has to be someone qualified/checked. Any ideas? Thanks

What are the dates?

stressed2007 · 23/03/2009 09:58

9-18 April but don't necessarily need help the entire time

The company you booked your holiday with..do they not offer babysitting services as and when you need it?
Or maybe go on to gumtree or nannyjob, prehaps a local college or uni as childcare students will be on half term may interest them.

we are going to friends lovely apartment - very nice so no company involved, Will try the other route but did try local colleges etc last time and there was no interest.

stressed2007 I am going to be in Spain 5mins drive from San Pedro de Alcantara 11th-17th April. I used to live there so know the area really well (I am a teacher and taught over there at an International school). I also have some teacher friends still living there so if I couldnt help you out, I could probably find you someone who could.
