I have put the kettles on and left you all some of our peppermint creams (dipped in choc) we have been making for mothers day to try.

I'm loving the weather too.
I'm also loving the peace and quiet (not for long I dare say) but everyone is asleep and DH is out yippee

Poorly today. 2 days unpaid. Found out a mindee was sick Sunday night and came to me on Monday . I don't think they have any idea how much this has cost me (quite apart from the fact that my DD has to eat a packed lunch made by DH )

LOL! poor DD, LT!

i am shattered today, having had support childminding training last night and then when i got back it seemed like a good idea to have some wine and watch tv til midnight!

stupid girl.... early to bed for me tonight.

HSMM - that's SOOOOO annoying!!! Will you say anything about this to them? It really winds me up when people try it on like that!!! Hope you feel better soon. Won't see you at group tomorrow then?!

NO4 - not me with the DD I can beat that re: staying up late..........I NEVER got to bed!!! Woke up at 5.10am on the sofa where I'd fallen asleep about 10ish I decided to stay there as at least I was laying on my back and probably best after had my naval re-pierced last night! lol

I'm going to put some comments about sickness in my newsletter this month. One of the other mindees parents invited DD round for tea, so I could put my feet up. How sweet is that?

Oh that's sweet, nice having nice parents isn't it. I'm VERY lucky to have fab parents all round. I have one who cooks for me a LOT lol, yesterday she dropped round dough for pizza bases, today a chicken curry she's made, same family are letting me have part of their allotment to grow my own fruit and veg Another parent takes ds1 out in the hols and stuff, all paid for plus my car is broken and today she picked her DD up and brought her round to me and wants no refund. Another is always saying to let her know if I get stuck and need help with stuff etc. and ALL of them are really great (deffo not always been the case though!). I hope the parents of the sick child feel bad for what they've done, I've had parents do that and it's made me so and was the reason I gave notice to one family! Anyway, hope you're over the worst soon!

Right, time to do dinner! At least I've got no mindees to cook for today, just one to reheat for which takes the pressure off.

Oh...HSMM.....have you been on the Silly About Scrap course? I'm on it tomorrow night and wondered what it was like.

Wow hasn't the weather been lovely! Only had one mindee during the day today as the other two were off sick so it was a quiet day. After school all the children went in the garden to play so wore them out before dinner!!
I went to see the midwife today! She's booking me in for an early scan which is good. Hopefully everything will be fine this time. She has dated me 2 weeks further on than I think I am but sure she as got it wrong!

HSMM - I am so fed up with parents who send sick children to me. I have made a point of saying this last week to all my parents that the reason children keep being off sick is that they keep coming here when they are ill and it just goes round in circles! Anyway, seems to have had an impact as at least now they are keeping them off when not well!
