its usually only in certain circumstances, afaik. (like the parents of the child you have already, have another baby. or, of course, twins) Tho I was talking to my social worker today about having two 13 month olds and she asked if I was planning to take on an under one as well (and was ok with me doing so, as long as I felt I could cope)....think i might wait til the others are 18 mths at least!

no idea of addresses as we dont do ofsted here in NI.

If it's for new business it's unlikely but it's still worth a try. I was shocked when they agreed to me having 4 aged 18 months and under, 2 of which were under 1. The reason they agreed my 2 under 1's was because I had a mindee from 8 weeks old then went on maternity leave for 12 weeks and when I started back when my baby was only 10 weeks old, the mindee was still only 8 months old. So that was for continuity of care (rather than send her to new cm she didn't know). I applied for the 4 in early years group because that mindees mum then wanted to work extra days but I thought they'd say no because of the children all being so young but no, they said YES!! Sooo, you never know, definitely worth a try but don't get your hopes up if for new business.

The email address is [email protected] and you need to send a scanned signed letter as they can't action it without your signature. Just make sure in your letter you explain how you would manage the ages, what equipment you have etc etc.

Good luck

it is for new business, but it has got to be worth a try!

I need to ask for a similar variation for 2 under ones but only for the 4 week settling in period as then the baby will turn one.

I am being inspected either monday or wednesday apparently so when the inspector comes I will ask her there and then and let you know the result......
