Hi all, This is my first thread on mumsnet so bear with me. I am a childminder doing NVQ 3 CCLD and have been asked to do a risk assessment checklist for welcoming, goodbyes and visitors. I have thought about visitors book, locked door with keys accessible, inviting in. Any ideas?

Thanks

Asking for ID?
Chain on the door?

System for having authorised collectors and a system to deal with emergencies (alternative collectors form or something to ascertain the person who turns up is who they say they are)

Ensuring all visitors are not left with children unsupervised (CRB)

alternative collectors need the password, have a different password for each family, also you would want the car reg for anyone picking up who you havnt met before and specific instructions, written or phoned from parents.

lock doors after visitors leave and simply dont answer the door to anyone you dont know or expect.

Thanks for all your suggestions. Better start typing them up!
