Comes back in lugging swim kit or later on and deckchair, then goes back out again.

Com back in with takeout coffee and the paper sits down a waits to hear No.4 hit the skip

Well I missed the skip, but whos fly tipped in the other corner of the car park - I found that!!!!

No4 is not the only hormonal lady about at the mo, and I started work at 6.45 this morning, so I suggest everyone gives mums a wide berth today!!

I found some old paint pots in the shed, will they be any good - lugs them in and puts them in the corner on a dust sheet (green - pale and dark, Hessian, cream, pale yellow, lilac, white, pale pink... cor the mums house must look like a rainbow!!!!) and do we need any bamboo dh is re landscaping the garden.....

Shoshe · 27/02/2009 07:17

Yep bamboo would be good, planted in a big pot we could shield off one corner with harmonious colours for the Hormonally challenged

HSMM · 27/02/2009 07:24

Just to make you all vomit . Going shopping with my Mum today . Don't worry, I'll watch out for the skip on the way.

Shoeshe - I hope you didn't break the pink fairy lights we put on yesterday?

mumsanutter · 27/02/2009 07:25

OK, bamboo potted and put in the shed for safety - so that we don't paint it by mistake.

Shoshe · 27/02/2009 07:47

What about something like this

Nick would just match in

HSMM: i am envious, my mum died 18 months ago but even when she was fit and able to, we never went shopping together as adults. Have a lovely day!!

Are we doing the walls magnolia? or rainbow a la mums-house-is-for-a-nutter?

Got anymore deckchairs, shosh?

mumlove · 27/02/2009 07:49

I am here ready to prep the walls and celling for shoshe to paint tomorrow.

coolj · 27/02/2009 08:19

Shoshe · 27/02/2009 08:19

Who left the half eaten doughnut in the corner of the room, it's got a lovely warm blanket around it!!!

I am off to take DD to school then going to the dentist, will come back with hot coffees and some lovely fruit.

KatyMac · 27/02/2009 08:43

Hang on - we have nice interesting ceilings already so that babies don't get bored - I was kinda of hoping for calming white/cream in the staff room - OK colour if you must but pattern!!

mumsanutter · 27/02/2009 08:55

Shoshe - love the design but would it look the same with the stairgate, corner protectors etc etc etc

Fruit - I want chocolate - mums wanders off with the hump thinking about hormones and diets??????

looneytune · 27/02/2009 09:18

What have I missed???? Have we been decorating???? I tell you what, it's really weird. I've come in pretty much every day for 4 years and when I stop coming in so much, everything changes and now I don't know what's going on! lol

Has the special 'getting up the duff' chair gone too???!!! Maybe some were too worried to sit on it after the number of us who caught from it

Anyway, I've got another childminder picking my now 8 month old up in 10 mins, she's taking him til 4pm (as a friend - she's an unofficial grandparent which is lovely) - it's his first time away from us so hope it goes ok. I've got a friend doing school runs with ds1 so I've got the whole day to crack on with the rest of my paperwork/cleaning before Ofsted visit next week! I really know how to spend my week off eh!!

Anyway, hope you're all well. I feel out of touch so PLEASE tell me what on earth has been going on in here plus any gossip etc. please

nomoreamover · 27/02/2009 09:51

I came in looking for adult conversation....but appear to have stumbled into the magic roundabout.....very confuddled

Feeling rubbish today - new client still picking holes in my contract and my policies and just about everything else I do...wondering now why she chose me over the other options she had if shes so whiny about everything i do?! Really knocked my confidence

Shoshe · 27/02/2009 11:53

For those that supported me on the thread about getting a dog yesterday, I have a update.

Just a update.

After spending HOURS on the phone to DH, talking about all the possibilities I Have decided to retire, after 30 years of dancing to others tunes within my own home,we have decided it it time we got our home back.

Opportunely a job has become available managing the local Children centre Nursery, and I have applied for it.

If I get it, two of my children will follow me, so I won lose touch.

If i don't get it, there will always be other jobs coming up where I can use my experience and knowledge of Childcare.

I have outstanding Ofsted Report done recently as well as a degree in Early Years Education,so it shouldn't be that hard to find one.

Tis scary tho going on out into the work force again

Oh Shoshe But I totally understand!!! Not sure the link with a dog as not been around but just wanted to say I'll be sad to see you go but happy for you. Anyway, they'll always still be Facebook and MSN, not that you'll be around as much once you're out in the big wide world. I'm .....to have your home back and the paperwork gone.

I'm welling up now!!!

shoshe - good luck with the job - sounds ideal i don't blame you for wanting your home back really - i have ds so have the toy mountain anyway but don't think i'll continue minding when he is older.
I also have a dog and she is part of everyday life all the mindees love her she is as soft as ... mindee of the moments mum is scared of dogs but she still choose me most parents seem pleased we have animals TBH. Having said that i am nervous of staffies i know that is ridiculous and any dog has the potential to be dangerous.
I never leave my dog on her own with mindee's as much for her own safety as for theirs.

looking forward to the new improved decor in the staffroom! have some lovely habitat fairy lights for mood lighting?

mumlove · 27/02/2009 13:45

Shoshe - ? ears crossed - check. You must show me how to do this. Good luck with the job search.

mumsanutter · 27/02/2009 16:18

Shoshe - good luck with your decision and with the job search.

ML - fingers crossed (mums goes crossed eyed trying to figure out how to cross my ears and toes???? )

mumlove · 27/02/2009 18:47
