Hello everyone, I thought I had my job and childcare sorted for my return to work in July but yesterday it got all thrown into the air with the news that I may lose my job, and certainly won't get the hours i was relying on. With this in mind can you tell me what's the usual CM rate for doing school drop offs and pick ups, I'd probably need 1 hour in the morning and a school drop off, then school pick up and 2.5 hours after school care? Also, do you have any idea of the cost of school breakfast and after school clubs? thanks v much

Hello kitsmummy,

I think this very much depends on what are ayou are in. You could try looking "here" which might be able to help you a little more.

Our school charges £3 for breakfast club and £7.50 for after school club until 6pm. Breakfast is included and a sandwich and fruit included with the after school charge.

Have a look to see if your school has a website, they sometimes put the charges on there.

The good thing about the club at school is that its fully staffed so cover for holidays, sickness etc, no extra travelling and there is plenty of equipment and resources for activities.

I charge my normal rate which is £3.50 - you will need to see what normal rates are per hour in your area....try CIS
