Morning!

Once again I could do with another couple of hours sleep. Instead I have school runs and sleep times, lunch making and craft sessions, singing and dancing and poopy nappies.

good morning, at least we have no snow this Monday

we are going to Mums and Tots, NOT my favorite place, but needs must, and don't want to go to far in the icy conditions.

nannynick · 09/02/2009 07:17

Least you will have more fun than me... I'm hanging around Woking town centre this morning waiting for my car to be pre-MOT serviced and then MOT tested.

aGalChangedHerName · 09/02/2009 07:20

Lol it's like groundhog day isn't it??

I have school and nursery run/toddlers/nursery pick up/lunch. Have to try and do a little bit of packing up in the kitchen today too . The floor going down Thursday/Friday and kitchen in next week. Am dreading it!!!

aGalChangedHerName · 09/02/2009 07:21

Snowed here last night so not looking forward to driving today

Tabbykat · 09/02/2009 08:10

How can it be monday already?
At least there's no snow, but it's chucking it down with rain here so will have to cancel trip to the swings for the third week running and do more baking and crafts....hmm, valentine's hearts I think.
Good day to all, x

mumlove · 09/02/2009 08:10

Morning everyone.

It's raining here again so out with the wellies.

My car goes into the garage today, so I am going to have fun after the school run trying to get the car seats into a 2 door car and juggle the mindees . Glad I am having DH's for the rest of the week.

Off to cm group this morning then home for lunch and 1 mindee leaves, so will do a valentines craft with other mindee before they go.

Hope you all have a good day.

SammyK · 09/02/2009 08:30

There is snow here again and I am not happy about it. DS is thrilled tho!

I am feeling the same - how can it be Monday already??

I have a bad back and am full of cold (sore throat and chesty cough). Wish SUmmer would hurry up.

KatyMac · 09/02/2009 08:47

Morning all

Horrid weekend - my brand new printer is useless & going back this am

Babies have cancelled - so a relatively quiet day with only 3 here

nannynick · 09/02/2009 11:52

Well the day started good... then got worse!

MOT didn't go that well and I thought it would sail through... which did mostly. Issue with the suspension though, so my car is now grounded until the replacement parts can be fitted (with luck tomorrow). Have a nice new Citroen C4 Grand Picasso on loan (only an extra £26 on the insurance for 3-days cover - hate to think what it would be annually).

Now I need to get used to driving a Wider, Longer car. Hmm, I don't intend to drive it too much, no long distance trips to museums.

The bill for the repairs could be quite a bit... several hundred at least. Ah well, cheaper than a new car... it's done 103000 miles, so some major maintenance is to be expected every now and then.

Just sent an e-mail to my boss to inform her of the news. Bit of a pain but the problem has been resolved so won't affect my ability to get to work... just may mean her children get a trip to the garage at some point, so we can switch cars (though the garage may drive my fixed car to my work, if I'm lucky).

nannynick · 09/02/2009 11:55

Mumlove - hope your car repairs are not as bad as mine.

mumlove · 09/02/2009 13:21

My car is being repaired after it was vandalised a couple of weeks ago. New bonnet, scratchs along both side and dents in the roof pushed out. Will take about a week to do.

mumlove · 09/02/2009 13:23

Hot coffee and some lovely choc mousse with cream on the table.
Going to make a heart caterpillar.

mumsanutter · 09/02/2009 13:26

Mums wanders in (from her very quick weekend away ) looking for the coffee pot and a quiet corner to sit in.....

Feeling all fuzzy today but dh says that this is jet lag (I thought I was just tired!!), luckily mindees mum got confused as to when I got back so I haven't got mindee today and am back at work tomorrow - hopefully I'll have an early night and get some quality sleep. Wonder how early I can get the ds's into their beds tonight - 6pm sound too early {grin]

mumlove · 09/02/2009 15:16

Hello mums, did you have a lovely time? Put the kids to bed early with a book and get some rest.

nannynick · 09/02/2009 16:10

Anyone have a C4 Grand Picasso? If so, please help me on this thread (What do the buttons do).

mumsanutter · 09/02/2009 16:31

Nick - afraid that I can not help, we looked at a citroen c8 but couldn't afford the monthly fee as I lost some minded children.

Mumlove - the trip was fantastic, far too much to see in 2.5 days, but well worth it and looking at ways to get all of us back there (me, dh plus 4 ds!). Just told ds1 that scouts can't happen tonight, and that everyone will be having an early night - we will see

Numberfour · 09/02/2009 19:09

today i just did NOT feel like childminding!

glad the day is almost over - just to get DS to bed and then I can flop down.

What's the bet DH expects me to put DS to bed tonight???

nannynick · 10/02/2009 19:25

Have my car back again now... oh it's such a better size - the 7 seater was just too big for me. Is there a Tuesday Staffroom? Can't find it.
