I have a lovely mindee who has been with me since 8 weeks old and she's now outgrown the travel cot. It's a big travel cot so a bigger one isn't an option. She's very nearly 2 and recently went into a bed at home because she got too long and heavy for her cot.

She's fine in the travel cot here for her short naps (for now) but not for an overnight stay. She used to stay fairly regularly and mum would like her to continue to, when needed, but I need to sort a bed first as we both agree a cot isn't going to be ok for all night anymore.

As she's only young, it needs to be something nice and sturdy which I can put a bed guard on. I do have a toddler bed in the loft which I could get down when needed, however, the mum is keen to buy something that can be used here but also by them when they go away.

Any suggestions? I was looking at Z Beds but they don't look very sturdy????? Any thoughts would be great as I'd love to keep being able to have her overnight.

TIA

I can only think of an air matress that would be mobile and both you and parents can use. There are some realy good ones on the market. It would also be on the ground so no need for bed guard. I imagine a portable type bed wouldn't be that comfortable. Maybe you could use your toddler bed and they buy something for themselves when they travel.

Thanks for that, I don't think she's keen on airbeds atm, maybe when she's older. I did mention this but I'm sure she wants a bed. If no other options, I'll just use my own toddler bed.
