Clean and tidy the AP keeps her room?

I have had to ask her to bring out cups, bowls, cutlery etc.

Her room is a pigsty, the only reason I know this is because I have had to go in and retrieve cups that I have already asked her to bring out before she leaves in the morning for college.

She has been here over a month and has never hoovered her room. Clothes etc are strewn all over the floor, desk, everywhere. Bin overflowing.

I don't particularly care how messy it is as long as it is kept clean.

Is this any of my business? What do others expect from their AP's in this area?

This is the first AP I have had who has been a slob basically. I have never had to mention this to anyone else and indeed have not even thought about it as an issue to raise until now!

When I gave her the initial questionnaire she insisted that she was 'self disciplined' ( her words) and tidied up.

You absolutely should expect her to be clean! Untidiness, I agree, is an issue for her, but they are your cups/plates etc and she is being disrespectful to not at least have the courtesy (not to mention pride) to remain clean.
Is she otherwise good at her job?
She would have t go for me I'm afraid, I can't abide muck!

Thanks plod. I think I'll have to gently push the hoover in her direction.

On the whole she's ok. The kids really like her and she plays well with them. She often does over and above her hours out of choice.

She has absolutely NO common sense though and I find that a bit stressful. She's 25 going on 17.

Just politely tell her you don't mind mess, but she MUST retun crockery and cutlery when finished and MUST empty the bin. You are not asking much. It's her room, if she can stand the chaos leave her to it, but dirtiness...NO! Good luck
p.s (I wish I was going on 17 again LOL)
