I have a 6 year old mindee who needs some help and guidance with behaviour management (CM speak for YOW! he is hard to handle sometimes!!)

I think a reward chart is the way to go so could anyone recommend one I could download free online or is there on at a shop i could try?

TIA

You can get them in our local pound shop for .......£1!!!

You could make one by printing off a picture of someone he likes say for example Dr who then aim to fill it with 10 stars that look like they are coming from the sonic screwdriver......

You could draw a picture of a big jar and draw circles or stick stickers into it.

I just make them myself, so they are personal to each child (they do look a bit naff though)

I make one with DS!, then he has some involvement and more incentive.

We drew a sea picture this week and he has fishes to stick on. Last week was a duck pond with ducks.

I found that if he helps he is more inclined to try harder.

Yes they dont look as polished, but so much nice IMHO.

Thanks everyone! I think getting the youngster involved sounds like the best idea.

Fortunately his mum is working with me on this one. Really makes a difference to work with the parents. And this morning he was a star! (after a minor explosion last night and me verging on tears which mum could see )

thanks!

I agree - make one with him!

DS1 and I often sit down to make our next reward chart as I have "issues" with his behaviour management too!
