CM Club: I am feeling a bit confused about working with assistants

OK I have had assistants for 5yrs plus & OFSTED have now got me completely confused

I totally understand assistants cannot be left with sole charge for children over the age of 5

WRT Early Years Children I have been told (by the OFSTED helpline)
a) it's exactly the same as pre EYFS (ie 2 hrs with parents written permission)
b) it's exactly the same as for childcare & voluntary register children (ie never ever allowed)
c) it's allowed for unlimited amounts of time with the parents written permission
d) it's only allowed with a special clause n your certificate

So I sent an email to try & clarify it - & got a bizarre answer back

I am SO confused

I have wrote on my certificate -

may at times agree and confirmed in writing by parents, leave an assistant in sole charge of the children (Early Years Register)

OFSTED rang - that is what I am having written on my certificate as well

She said I sounded like Joyce Grenfell (which made me think she reads MN )
