Try in the CM Staff Room too. She usually pops in there from time to time.

My dh and adult dds are all registered as my assistants, but I only tend to use them as emergency back-up, or my dds during university holidays (so I could have more younger children if asked).

They only have the same enhanced CRB checks, no 1st aid or anything else.

thanks, do i just call ofsted and say i want them on the certificate then? mine is for my daughter to cover our own dd as she counts in my numbers! can you leave them in charge if required? thanks

does your DH not work then? I thought you could only use assistant for extra numbers when the assistant is actually there if that makes sense?

the forms have changed, you can phone and ask for an EY2 form or print it out from here:
www.ofsted.gov.uk/Ofsted-home/Forms-and-guidance/Browse-all-by/Other/General/Declaration-and-consent -form-for-all-individuals-connected-with-a-registered-provision-form-EY2

As its a 23 page form, I'd phone and ask for a paper copy. I'm not certain what the situation is with first aid but I would personally want anyone having sole care to have taken a first aid whether its an Ofsted requirement or not. Your hubby will already have CRB from living in same house but whether it needs to be done again I don't know(until the new system comes in - oct 09?? - you still can't carry over existing crbs from one situation to another)

he does work yes but i only need the variation for 1 hour each week when he would be there or if dd was off school sick. its all very confusing! thank you ayla99 that is the information i couldnt find! he is a first aider already but i didnt know if he had to hve the paediatric one.
