Been given £300 for EYFS resources!!!

Has anyone else? My LA has just written to me regarding the EYFS capital funding grant. Each CM is able to order £300 of equiptment. Am ecstatic

From what Ive been told, Bradford was allocated 7.7 million.

no1childminder I got a letter in the post. The deadline for emailing them is 23.01.09.

I rang my coordinator a few days ago to ask about this and I could almost hear her thinking 'Crap, who told her about this??'. Then she spluttered her way through some blah about how it will be spent on training but at the minute they're only giving it to nurseries and pre-schools - should we not all be treat the same given we all have to do the same job to the same legislation now?? Mentioned it to a couple of other cms today - no1 had heard of it - hmmm, wonder why??

So if we haven't heard anything, is it worth phoning anybody? Or do we just assume we didn't get anything?

Phone your Sure Start and ask them where your share is and if they dont know ask them for the number of the person who does. We should all be getting our fair share.
