Responsible childcarer in Surrey

I am based in Surrey (Redhill/Reigate/Gulidford/Crawley ect), and I am looking for some temporary full time (or 2 part time) childcare jobs before I go off to university to become a paediatric nurse.

I have loads of experiance with children from newborn to 15 years old. My brother has severe autism and ADHD and I have been his young carer since I was 14. I have also looked after a little girl with downs syndrome on a 1:1 basis and I have been an au pair for 4 months in Italy.

I'm not OFSTED registered or anything (The process looks very long-winded for 8 months work!) but I do have a current CRB check and a paediatric first aid certificate. I think I read somewhere that if I am not registered, I can't look after children in my own home.

Obviously, I don't have a problem with working in the childs home as a nanny/mothers help type role, but idealy I'd like to be able to come home every evening.

Can anyone help me out?! Either by wanting to employ me :O or but giving me some advice about rules and regulations with regards to insurance ect.

The recession is rubbish!

Thank-you in advance

You can be a live-out nanny without needing to be Ofsted registered.
Not sure how many parents would be looking for a temp nanny/short term nanny.
Look through job ads on Nannyjob, Guildford.Gumtree.
Good luck with your job hunt.

There must be someone I can help?! What about anyone needing a babysitter?

Advertise locally where there are play groups or other kids' activities. Also put an ad in local paper and anywhere else you can think of. Oh, and you might want to check out the ad boards on netmums.com (not to be confused with mumsnet.com).

Good luck!

Hi there

I posted this at the beginning of January, and we still haven't found anyone. Of any interest?

Part-time nanny/ mother's help needed between 3pm-6pm to collect 2 boys (9 & 6) from school in Reigate and and bring home for homework/ reading supervision, play and tea.
Thinking about 3-4 days a week, but we may need more days or hours as time goes on so happy to consider other options like full-time nanny / nanny share, child minder etc.

Also happy to discuss more hours in school holidays.

Driver essential.
