Help! Mindee (who had cold all week) has turned up with two puffy red eyes this morning - should I send him home?

I did comment when he was dropped off as he looked like he had been crying. Mum said she asked him if they were sore or itchy and he said no.

I suppose it could be viral and I am making Mum come home from work unecessarily. I don't have any other minded children today just my own.

I am thinking that if I am going to phone her I should do it sooner rather than later.

If I were you I would use my intuition. You probably know the child very well and therefore know if he is ill. Dont hesitate to ring mum. Better safe than sorry. Through my experience some parents are crafty and just send their children, regardless of whether they are ill or not.

Thing is I haven't looked after him that long. He seems OK in himself.

I am wondering if his nursery will refuse to take him later though. I have to drop him off at 12.30

I do wonder about some parents, if it was me I would have taken mine to the dr to check, especially with it being a Friday.
