Lovely AP is leaving on Friday and has been posting books/dvds etc home at great cost. She only has a 15kg baggage allowance for her flight and has just worked out that she will not be able to take a lot of her clothes etc.
I can't get DHL type websites to quote for some reason, but there must be some way of shipping a box of her stuff home inexpensively??
She has already charity-shopped a load of stuff and dh took some as hold luggage (he is in Germany for business this week) and posted it whilst he was over there.

Try these

Flying Ryanair then - she will also have a 10kg hand bagge allowance - make sure she maxes out on this

Cheap airline tickets are a real waste of money in these circumstances. She would have been better off going through an agent and asking for a ticket that had as big a baggage allowance as possible.

I suspect she will end up paying more for the courier service than a decent airline ticket would have cost.

Try the Post Office. If you send things surface it takes ages but is very cheap.

I always use interparcel.com they are great and quote all major couriers!

go onto ebay and do a search for european parcel delivery.

My AP did it and it cost £20 to send a parcel of upto 30kgs.

Thanks all, wow at £20 for 30kg!
Poor AP has become more and more depressed as she is having to choose what to take home and what we are going to have to send on..at least she has some clothes etc already at home.

DIOM - don't think it's easyjet (she usually uses air berlin).

She was expecting her mum to fly over to help with her bags (and give her another hold luggage allowance) but mum can't come now..hence PANIC!
