Help for new Mum needed in Harlow

Hi there,
My sis is expecting her 1st baby in April, she has been quite ill during her pregnancy and is probably going to have a C-section.
We have no family locally so I'm looking for someone to help her out during the day for a few weeks once baby arrives. I guess just to show my sis the ropes and help out with feeding, changing and taking baby for a bit so my sister can rest.
Can you recommend anyone or even a website/ agency I could use?

Hi are you looking for someone at the beginning or end of April? I am going away until the 24th April but may be available from then. I am a qualified Maternity Nurse and may be able to help out for a few weeks.

Hi there..as Paulaatmummyknows best just above said...a doula maybe able to help. Doula Uk is great and has find a doula pages....i am a doula too and live near braintree.... worth a thought!

Hello and thanks for all your replies!

I think a Postnatal Doula sounds exactly what we need, someone who is going to support my sis with things like cooking, tidying up and popping to the shops as well as the baby! Having looked on the internet, Unfortunately I don't think a mat nurse would offer that kind of support?

Due date is end April.

Melinda/ lisad, is this something you might be interested in?

Yes i am!! used to live in harlow til 4 years ago and had both my children at princess alexandra!!
