Visitors - male/female and are they allowed
Using the phone
Using the computer

Not really that thrilling but are things that ive thought of as a nanny that are sometimes forgotten about.

You cant put too many restrictions on an adult. They should be sensible and know what to do and what not to do.

Put insubordination as grounds for immediate dismissal.

Really think of any and everything she could do that would make you want to get rid of her on the spot and put it down as grounds for immediate termination.

Have a probation period where either of you can terminate the contract on short notice and without citing the reason.

Oh, put something in about appropriate dress being required and that employer shall determine what constitues appropriate dress. I swear I once had to have a serious chat with a nanny where I told her that I expected her shorts to cover her arse and her shirt to cover her bra. She said "I am shy" and got all embarrassed, and I replied "No you are not!"

Mine says that any guests are also asked to smoke outside, that i can use the computer for anything relating to the children (you may want to vary this as I am live out so i dont have the need to use it in the evenings etc)... also if she can have guests, if they can stay (eg friends from out of town/friends after a night out, etc), if you need to meet them first, how many she is allowed (prev contract said no more than two at a time. Considering i felt entirely unwelcome anyway i never asked a single person over so that wasnt a problem!).

what's your policy on her answering your phone?

can she give her friends your food? ie snacks for visitors. And is it already clear exactly which meals she will be eating in your house?

thanks athene - am using your contract so that is already in (in fact I seem to remember the thread where you discussed the baywatch nanny )... as she is live out think phone/computer /smoking covers it plus putting alarm on when you go out. As you say I really can't think of anything else that is not either petty or covered by the contract misconduct points.

athene thanks again for contract -really si good
