Babysitting-Average Hourly Rate?

I am in the process of registering with a couple of babysitting agencies and they require me to put in my hourly rate- I have no idea what this should be! I am in the greater london/surrey area... any ideas what the going rate is? TIA

Alipop - Give Sitters a go - they are good and reliable and much cheaper too!

i have done babysitting for about 20 years and have never heard of charging per child.

The family is charged a set rate regardless of how children there are.

I charge the same rate whether it is for one or 6 children.
