Hi,

In a desperate situation as have been let down by a nanny and started wrk yesterday. I'd like a temporary nanny to look after my little girl until my daughter starts nursery in a week or 2 and to take my son to school and pick him up. Does anyone know anything suitable? Thanks

It would help if you posted your location, hours you need etc.

Nanny Agencies sometimes have nannies on their books who are available at very short notice.

Thanks, I live in Lee, South London and need someone for the next 1/2 weeks.

Alas I don't live there... went to school there 20+ years ago!

Not sure any of the regular posters on here are from that area... but you never know.

have you tried Tinies?

I'm pretty sure they have a list of emergency childcare. It isn't cheap though.

I managed to find DS a nursery in London for 3 days (we are in Bristol) at very short notice.

The local council have a list of all the childcare providers in the area, and obviously there will be some overlap.
