Nannies needing work in West London -- I need a school pick up in Twickenham tomorrow!

Can anyone help? I need someone to pick up my 3 and 5 year olds from school in Twickenham tomorrow and bring them back to my house in Sunbury until 6:00is -- or take them to your house if you are a childminder and I can pick them up.

Our nanny is supposed to return today for hols by she is stuck in the snow in Seattle and her flight has been delayed at least until tomorrow. And I have started a new job today and really don't want to not sow up tomorrow. I think I have arranged a late start so I can drop off at school in the morning. But really really am desperate for after school.

THANK YOU!

I'd be happy with nanny or childminder... but I am not considering expensive emergency childcare agaency fees. If it gets to that point I'll have to miss work tomorrow, but really would like to avoid that scenario.

sorry I can;t help but couldn't their friends mums take each of them for one day?

This is unhelpful but I had to reply.

I wish I could help as you always seem like a lovely employer but unfortunately I'm in Scotland!

Unless you want to pay me to travel down lol

There is a mum who has a child in each of my kids' classes but she can't do it. I have sent a few e-mails to other parents/childminders. Hopefully something will come of it. But, likewise if someone on her could do it, that would work too. Hopefully one of my attempts works out! Hopefully!!!!!!

Oh bugger. Just read this. I managed to pass DS off to a friends mum tomorrow morning (mum is also a childminder), and I am leaving work early to pick up from school.

But, thanks for replying!

Hi Athene,

I am a CM in SUnbury, off of Vicarage Road, please let me know if you would like my details in case you have a similar situation again.

I thought of you Missy, but there is a school run to Twickenham at 8:50, 12:45, and 3:15 and I didn't think you'd wan to all that commuting... especially as I think you have a child of your own.

(and also I could remember your screenname which made it a tad difficult to get in touch)

Athene, I'm happy to help on the odd occasion. It isn't something I would do regularly, but my LO is quite adaptable, so if you do ever need any help, let me know.

Helen x
