you need buisness class 1

nannynick · 28/12/2008 16:49

Or you can get a specific policy for childcare workers, which specifically states "in connection with childcare activities" on the policy, thus it includes cover for transporting children in your care, for whom you are paid.
End of the day it's about the risk level you are prepared to take.

Iam a childminder and have been told i need class 3 insurance just wondering what other childminders have

nannynick · 02/02/2009 21:04

Class 3?
Source "Class 3 use provides business cover for the transportation of light goods, which have already been purchased, for example, pizzas or flowers."

Don't think you want that. I think you want insurance that covers the children for whom you are paid to transport - but you don't want Taxi insurance.
Contact MotorMinder or Morton Michele - they will sort you out with a suitable policy.
