Has anybody accepted the vouchers as payment and how do you rate them?

One of my parents has told me that's how they'll be paying. I have to wait for a voucher in their paypacket each month and send off with my invoice.

How long does the check then take to arrive?

It seems a long time to wait for payment ie a month in arrears and then some.

Do you charge for postage?

Ask then to do it electronically. And to keep a month in hand

ie, hold on to January's to pay February's with, as most cant release till the 1st of the month and can take anything up to 14 days depending on Voucher company.

My Parents all use vouchers this way, they then can release them on about the 21st of the month and then they are into my account by the 1st.

Also why are you being paid in arrears I would never b paid in arrears, to many CM's get caught out and not paid when the contract ends.

Why didnt I think of doing that ML

Oh thanks for that. The parents decided and as it varies timewise each morning when she gets dropped off I thought it might be easier too. How would I get paid not in arrears iykwim in this situation?

Sorry to be so dim but paperwork is so not my thing obviously it's going to have to be but there seems a lot to learn at the mo.

My other mum pays in cash weekly-soooo much easier!

explain she'll have to pay a deposit/month in advance up front and then switch to vouchers?

MilaMae · 20/12/2008 20:21

So this month when I've sent off the voucher I should ask for a deposit too?

MilaMae · 20/12/2008 20:29
