My childminder is about to have her ofsted inspection. I would really like to be able to give the inspector some feedback as she is so good with my ds, and generally a wonderful carer.

Is this the done thing?

Write a letter - 'to whom it may concern' and in it list all her excellent attributes. Seal the envelope and give to your CM to give to the Inspector, unseen by her.
You sound like a lovely parent to work with.

How nice - yes she will really appreciate a few words

If you pop your phone number in the inspector might ring to to ask any questions she might have

If you can get the name of her inspector (if she knows it), you can also send a letter, or email to OFSTED direct.
