i have a child who comes 22 hours a week.
No specified days as mums shifts vary as do hours so some days i have child from 6.30 in morn, take to school then after school till 8pm..other days i pick her up for one hour thats it!..contract is for 22 hours though, so covers some care over hols if needed..
but while im off over christmas, i dont know what to charge?

im working mon and tues (22nd and 23rd) then off until 2nd jan.
So AM available to work for 2 days while child is off school, meaning i could work the full 22 hours in the two days, but prob wont?..SO what do i charge mum?..same goes when i start work on 2nd, although its just the one day..what do i charge as i AM available that day (i have lots of mindees on friday so thought id offer to work to help!)..i charge half fees for my hols, which is straight forward for everyone else, but not so witht his one?
HELP!

So are you working 2 or 3 out of 10 days?

If she doesn't come I'd charge her 40% of 22 hrs for week one & 20% of 22 hrs for week 2

If she does come I guess you charge what she comes.....maybe?

How far in advance can she book you? I would ask her for when she will need you over the break o you can calculate her invoice for her. Much easier if you have the hours she will be using!

HIya, I am working 2 days before christmas and one day(the day after new years day) the week after..seems mad i know, but as most parents are back at work, i thought i would at least offer to work the friday?..might look at that?

but as child is off school, it is possible i could be doing a 6.30am-8pm on both those days as i have no idea what mum is working that week??
