Morning all, not been about for a while, my new mindee baby taking up so much time being constantly held! but settling much better now and is asleep in the cot! woohoo!

We're off to an xmas party today too! dd is very excited with her xmasy dress on too! bit odd as we have to take a present for each of them from santa. not sure how dd will react if someone else gets a big thing and she only gets little toy i've wrapped for her! would rather pay an extra £1 or so and they'll all get the same. we'll see how it goes.

anyway have good day all and if any of you are local to bracknell berkshire can you help me here

Hi EM not local to you but hope you have a nice day out.

I have posted a job application this morning. It is for a job in lovely nursery 4 days a week. I would love to get it, but am scared and full of questions now I have posted it off! Mainly around DS who doesn't start school full time until sept!

Afternoon, I am here now still have my horrible cold!

I have been busy with christmas parties and craft when mindees have been here, but when have not had any mindees doing the present shopping.

Have 2 more parties this week and then school plays the following week.

Hi, all
just a quick hello. Hope you are all warm and well.

Why do children insist they can blow up a balloon/beach ballthemselves, proceed to cover it in saliva (and sometimes snot), then give in and ask you to do it afterall?

Yuk!

ToysAreLikeDogs · 08/12/2008 17:56

Talking of Bracknell, is the Father Christmas at the shopping centre Free again this year?

Sammyk - good luck with your job application.

Spotted something in an Ofsted document:
~~ begin quote - source~~
Note: a childminder may care for a maximum of six children under the age of eight. However, when caring for children in the later years age group, the childminder/home childcarer must be present at all times. Children cannot be left with an assistant.
~~ end quote ~~

Later Years - do they mean 5 to 8, or over 8? (I'm getting confused by these new terms used)
Does this mean that an assistant can't collect children from school, but could be left back at the CM's home, caring for under 5's?

Never quite got here this am - very busy settling in 2 children

I'm doing lots of childminding now, hardly any management......not sure if it's really me
