Hi I was registered as a childminder in dec of last year and had my first full timers start in september. I have just had my first inspection and got satisfactory should I be happy with this?

Just wanted some other peoples thoughts.

Thanks

Mel

I got satisfactory for my first (and so far only) inspection. Yes, you should be very pleased with it because it shows that you are meeting the National Standards. Anything more than that is a bonus.

There is so much pressure on to get Good or O/standing and well done to those who get that! But there is no reason why you should not be happy with satisfactory.

I even had my Network Coordinator tell me that we have to meet the standards, not necessarily beat them!

Well done! If you want to get a better rating next time, I am sure that you will.
